Legal Recruiting Assistant (Temporary)

The Legal Recruiting Assistant provides administrative support to the Northern California Legal Recruiting Manager and Legal Recruiting Coordinator during the Summer Program, Fall Recruiting, Lateral Recruiting and other duties as assigned.

Assists in setting up Summer Associate orientation schedules and in drafting welcome memos, summer associate directories
Maintaining summer program files (project assignments, work product and evaluations)
Assists in setting up events for the summer program and assists in fostering attorney attendance at these events.
Tracking summer program budget
Performs other duties as assigned

Fall Recruiting

Schedules in-office interview dates with Summer Associate candidates.
Collects candidate evaluations and drafts all letters to candidates.
Handling on-campus interview registration, including schedule requests, processing registration fees, requesting interview rooms
Assisting with on-campus hospitality suite arrangements
Assisting with coordinating post-OCI receptions and post-callback receptions
Processing and tracking candidate expenses
Preparing and tracking split cost requests
Sends out reimbursement letters to applicants and sends letters to other firms with regard to shared NALP expenses.

Lateral Recruiting

Schedules in-office interview dates with Summer Associate candidates.
Collects candidate evaluations and drafts all letters to candidates.
Sends out reimbursement letters to applicants and sends letters to other firms with regard to shared NALP expenses.
Performs clerical functions such as preparing & organizing files and binders, opens & organizes and other administrative duties
Required to work overtime during busy periods and attend summer and fall events, when necessary.
Tracks and files incoming resumes and maintains recruiting databases.
Responsible for all data entry into recruiting databases
Performs other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience:

Required:

Degree or equivalent from an accredited university or college or technical school.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredit university or college or technical school.
Minimum of two years law firm experience.
Proficiency in advanced functions of the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience working with databases (recruiting, PeopleSoft) would be a plus.
