Orrick currently has an opening for an Attorney Recruiting Assistant. This position could be based in any of our U.S. offices (Austin; Boston; Houston; Los Angeles; New York; Menlo Park; Orange County, Portland, Sacramento; San Francisco; Santa Monica, Seattle, Washington DC or Wheeling, WV).

What will you do? As part of the Associate Recruiting team, you will have primary responsibility for supporting all administrative tasks that keep the team running.

General Recruiting
-Maintain department calendar
-Monitor Recruiting email Inbox; route messages to appropriate recipient
-Prepare weekly meeting agenda
-Process all invoices and reimbursement; track same for budgetary purposes
-Order presents/giveaways
-Special projects and additional duties as assigned

Entry Level Recruiting (Summer Associate Program and On-Campus Recruiting)
On Campus Recruiting
-Assist with organizing on-campus interview materials
-Coordinate and plan entry-level recruiting events
-Help develop and track key relationships with law schools and student groups
-Registering the firm for On-Campus Interviews
-Tracking school guidelines and policies
-Plan and assist with recruiting events (creating nametags and guest list, sending invitations, receiving RSVPs, following up with calls)

Summer Associate Program
-Create Excel charts and tables in connection with program; maintain summer and new associate master charts (and ad hoc charts as needed)
-Coordinate payment of program-related expenses
-Liaise between students and moving and housing vendors
-Coordinate production of:
-Summer Associate Orientation Guide
-Informational Materials for distribution to all Summer Associates
-Maintain work assignment log and summer associate work files
-Supporting Recruiting Committee (collecting and organizing applicant files and evaluations)
-Maintain work assignment log and summer associate work files
-Assist in coordination of social events and educational programs

First Year Associate Onboarding
-Support Recruiting Managers and Coordinators with the collection of necessary materials to onboard First Year Associates

Lateral Associate Recruiting
-Prepare offer letters and accompanying documentation
-Provide administrative support to maintain candidate files in the applicant tracking system
-Prepare materials for interview schedules and for applicants visiting the office
-Prepare necessary onboarding documentation and support Recruiting Managers and Coordinators in onboarding efforts
-As needed, assist with scheduling interviews and follow-up meetings for candidates
-Process expenses (i.e., candidate travel, events, search firms, and other vendors)

Job Requirements:
-Knowledge of attorney recruiting field and procedures.
-Ability to think creatively and proactively about recruiting.
-Ability to communicate effectively.
-Ability to organize/prioritize work while handling multiple projects and shifting responsibilities.
-Ability to meet deadlines.
-Ability to handle confidential/sensitive matters.
-Ability to work independently with little supervision.
-Performs as a team player.
-Flexibility to adjust hours to meet operating needs.
